AUM Ashram is dedicated to Advancing the Unity of Mankind by helping to refocus our attention from our small differences, both at a personal and global level, to the much larger commonalities we share as human beings living on the same small planet.

Regardless of race, gender, age or creed, we all share the same basic needs, not only for nourishment, shelter and a measure of comfort, but also for safety, connectedness to others, and peace. We are very committed to taking good care of our planet - our larger Home, and of each other - our human tribe and all life on Earth.

By faithfully living the universal principles of love, compassion, fairness, responsibility and intelligent sharing, we can transcend the small demanding voice of the human ego in a mindful way, living not just for our own small self-benefit, but for for the common good of ALL.

We are at a critical point in human history where harmonious unity is of vital importance for the survival of our species and the well being of the Earth. At AUM Ashram we are committed to sincerely living the ideals of practical and spiritual unification. To this end, we are in the process of creating an eco-spiritual community which strives to work together following the key ethical principles of classical yoga, greatly exemplified in the lives of saints, mystics and masters of ALL spiritual traditions.

Our mission is particularly blessed and inspired by the great mahavatar Babaji Nagaraj, who lives in simple seclusion with a small group of disciples in the high Himalayas, and who continues to bless humanity generation after generation with his simple timeless message of Humility, Love, Wisdom and Selfless Service.

Babaji's extraordinary attainment of ageless longevity demonstrates what is possible when, with unwavering faith, we align ourselves wholeheartedly with the Ommipotent (all capable), Omniscient (all knowing) Omnipresent (all present) Divinity present in all life, and in our inmost Being.

A whole chapter in the famous "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, read by millions of people the world over, is devoted to Babaji, and his ongoing work in the world. To him we offer our deepest gratitude and reverence, as well as to all beings who are devoted to help humanity rise to its true potential.
